Technology changes so fast every year and new gadgets are always coming out. I spend my year trying a lot of the new gadgets so I can share the best with you. I’ve put together a list of gifts that are perfect for college students.
Some of the items below I received to review and the links are affiliate links.
Tech for College Students
This is the list of my favorite tech gifts that I’ve tried in the last year. You should be able to find something for your college student on this list.
The Roku TV has all the channels that you will need built-in. My college daughter has a Roku TV at school and they love it. The TV is affordable and has options for everyone. If you buy it for a college student, check the type of hook up you need to connect to the school’s internet. You should find it on the school’s residence website or call their IT department.
If your college student has to give presentations, the Logitech Spotlight is perfect. It’s so easy to use. You install the software, connect the Spotlight to your computer and you can use it to highlight things on the screen like a spotlight. The rest of the screen dims except for the area around where you want to spotlight. It will show you how long your speech is so you don’t go over your allotted time also.
I’ve mentioned the UE Boom 2 in a tech gift list before, but we love it so much in this family that I had to include it in this list. It’s portable, durable, and the sound is FANTASTIC. There are so many choices of colors and you can also use an app to connect several Booms together to spread the sound further.
College campuses are breeding grounds for all sorts of germs and viruses including computer viruses. Do not send your college student to school without protecting all their devices. Bitdefender has several options that will fit your needs. It can happen to you, so protect your devices from malware, viruses, ransomware and also webcam intrusions.
Look at any college student’s dorm room and you will find lots of pictures. Pictures of friends and family from home and new friends from school. With the HP Sprocket 2-in-1, they can take photos and instantly have a picture to put on their memory board or even stick to their notebook or folder. The photos from the Sprocket 2-in-1 are stickers. So much fun.
As I said, college students love to take photos. They always have their phones with them, so that is the camera they use. With a GloLens, their photos taken in low light will be much brighter. Selfies will also be brighter because you can use the GloLens on the front or back camera.
