All of the games below were released in 2017 and per my boys are the ones they loved.

Just Dance 2018

Available for Xbox One, Switch, PS3, PS4, Wii Wii U, Xbox 360

Just Dance is my favorite game. My kids love it and I love it because it’s great exercise and perfect for families. Before you know it, an hour has gone by and you’ve been dancing the whole time.

You play by following along with the moves on the screen. The person who follows the closest is the winner. It’s a great teen party game. You can have up to 6 players at one time and it’s also a great game to watch. Lots of great Snapchat material.

Star Wars Battlefront II

Available for Xbox One, PS4, PC

My 21-year-old said this was the best game he played all year. Being a senior in college, he doesn’t have a lot of time to play games, so he saves it for the best games. The game is a story where you play as a hero and battle the villains across the Star Wars universe. This game can be played single or multi-player.

Assassins Creed Origins

Available for Xbox One, PS4, PC

This is one of the games my boys put on their Christmas list. The game takes you on a journey through Ancient Egypt including the Great Pyramids. The goal is to find out the origins of the Assassin’s Brotherhood.

Horizon Zero Dawn

Available for PS4 only

This game follows a girl through a post-apocalyptic world as she saves her family and the human race from a virus spreading through the animalistic robotic race.

My 15-year old’s exact quote was:

Beautiful graphics, amazing gameplay. Wonderful story. Definitely a number one game of the year in my opinion.

Steep Winter Games Editions

Available for Xbox One, PS4

Compete in the Winter Olympics in this video game. You can compete in 12 different winter sports including snowboarding, skiing and more. You travel the world training and then compete for a medal in the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang, South Korea.

South Park, The Fractured But Whole

Available for PS4, Xbox One, PC

This game is a sequel to South Park, The Stick of Truth released in 2014. This is a role-playing game which picks up right where the last one stopped. The game plays much like the television show. If your kids are fans of the show, they will definitely want to play this game.

If your kids never played the earlier version, this game includes a download of The Stick of Truth. This game is not for kids younger than 13. If you are unsure, play the game yourself first.
