Find Your Passion & a Business When You Least Expect It
When I started writing my blog, I never intended to become a business. I was trying to keep my family updated on our growing family. My writing quickly turned to technology and scrapbooking because those are two topics I am very passionate about.
The more I wrote about my passions, the more I loved writing. I’ll never forget when I realized that people (other than family) were reading my blog. It was very rewarding to hear that others were learning from me. I still get a kick out of hearing that someone took information that I wrote and applied it to their life. That’s why I continue to write.
I have been blogging for 4 years now and I love what I do. I write about all my passions and share my passions with others. I have built a community of people who have the same interests as I do.
If I were to start a dream business, I would want to help others turn their passions into a business. I can honestly say that I love going to work every day because I am doing something that I would do for free. My reward is not the money, it is the enjoyment of writing and connecting with others.
Intuit recognizes that local and online businesses are created out of our passions. Intuit is giving away $25,000 each month to small businesses around the country. You can nominate a local business or your own business in Intuit’s Love a Local Business competition.
Let’s Talk! It’s been very exciting starting my business, so I’m curious to know: What dream business would you love to start? By replying you will be entered to win an iPad 2!
