13 Shows to Stream on Netflix When You Are Sick #StreamTeam #Spon
This is a sponsored post.
For the last month, I have been sick and I’ll be having surgery next week. Being sick in our house calls for a lot of Netflix watching.
When I’m sick, I like to watch shows that are no longer on and lasted 1 or 2 seasons because I can get through the series in a few days.
Here are some of my favorites and at the end a few shows that are still on, but if you haven’t watched them, they are worth it.
Shows With One Season
A group of brothers who are norse gods. A lot of very interesting adventures.
A 16-year old teen doesn’t know for most of her life that she is a witch. When she moves to a new town strange things start happening and she finds out she is “one of them,” a witch.
Seven people disappear and reappear together in a hotel room. They have no idea how they got there or who took them. They spend most of the season trying to find out who took them.
Firefly takes place 500 years in the future. Adventures of a crew of misfits. This one has only 14 episodes, but it had a huge following.
This is the prequel to Battlestar Gallactica. I loved this show and after I watched it, I started watching a lot more of the Battlestar Gallactica shows. The show is set on planet, Caprica.
The Gates is about werewolves and witches who live in a gated community.
The Tomorrow People is the show I just finished watching. It’s about humans in the future who begin to have special powers and they are unsure why. There is a lot of mystery and connections and twists and turns in this 1 season.
Shows With Two Seasons
I watched Life when it was on TV and Jason and I were sad when it wasn’t renewed. It was a good show. It’s about a cop who was in prison for a murder he didn’t commit. After 12 years, he is found innocent and wins a huge sum of money. He tries to go back to being a cop and living a lavish lifestyle.
Alphas have abilities that most humans don’t have. They solve crimes that are committed by others with the same abilities.
Shows With Three Seasons
Continuum is about a group of criminals and a few “good guys,” who are from the future and brought back to the past. There is a lot of time travel in this series so sometimes it doesn’t make sense, but the more you watch, the more sense it makes. I love shows about time travel, so this is one of my favorites. There are 3 seasons on Netflix and this show has not been cancelled.
Show With Four Seasons
Haven is a Steven King book made into a TV series. It’s about a town called Haven where people with “the troubles” live. There is a lot of mystery around what the troubles are and how people got them. They only show up every few years. This show is in its 5th season.
Show With Eight Seasons
Charmed is one of those shows that I had no desire to watch when it was on TV, but once it was on Netflix, I watched all 8 seasons and I loved it. It’s about 3 sisters who are witches. They live together in their childhood home.
No matter how long you are sick, there is a show for you to watch. What TV series do you recommend? I’m always looking for new shows to watch.
