Pinterest For Dummies Book Review

When I write about Pinterest, a comment I often get is, “I don’t know what Pinterest is all about.” From now on, I’ll point them to the Pinterest For Dummies book written by Kelby Carr.

If you have read any of the Dummies series books, you know the format. This book is a very easy read and gives wonderful step by step instructions for everything you will need including opening an account, creating boards, pinning, commenting and sharing pins.Kelby includes a lot of photos to help you through each step.

While the book is geared more towards Pinterest newbies, as a long-time Pinterest addict, I learned a many things too. The chapters that I learned the most from are the Self-Promoting on Pinterest and Pinterest Etiquette chapters.

  • The ‘For Dummies’ series is an absolute winner! Originally there was a bit of stigma that came from reading them as some people saw them as ‘admitting defeat,’ but now we’ve all come to see them for what they are: a brilliant, modern-day resource!

My friends flock to me for all things Fantasy Football, however ironically, when it comes to ANYTHING else computers, I’m fairly hopefully. I had to have my hand held while I was taught all about Twitter! I might have to give this book a look, Michele! 🙂

    • Yeah, I think the name at first gave the wrong impression. I just love that they can take any subject, find an expert who can teach it in plain english and then make the topic not only understandable, but interesting!!! I always go to the “For Dummies” books first.

Let me know what you thought!!
