Keeping Up Your Motivation for Your Better You Challenges in 2016
This is a Sam’s Club sponsored post.
How is 2016 so far? As we get to the end of January, are you still feeling motivated? or do you need a motivation reboot? Deciding to make changes for a better you is easy. Following through and maintaining those changes is challenging! I’m going to share my struggles, my wins and some tips and tools that have helped me.
Personal Challenge Struggles
I shared my 2016 personal challenge of healing. A few weeks into my healing plan and I’ve had my share of struggles. The biggest blip has been the 35″ of snow we got last week.
I was supposed to being my physical therapy this week, but that is on hold until after the digging out ends. However, I’m very anxious to start moving. My doctor said I can walk and do light cardio on a treadmill, bike or elliptical.
Fortunately, Sam’s Club website has both treadmills and ellipticals available online. There is the HealthRider H82E Elliptical and ProForm Pro 2000 Treadmill which can be found on the Sam’s Club website.
I have not been doing as well with eating fruits and vegetables, so I’m glad I’m taking my Women’s Centrum Silver vitamins from Sam’s Club.
Personal Challenge Wins
While I’ve had my struggles, I’ve also had some wins. I have been wearing my Fitbit Charge HR (available at Sam’s Club) every day and tracking my steps. I’m starting low and working my way up to 10,000 steps EVERY day. But it’s definitely motivating me to move more each day.
I find that watching how the steps go up and down helps to keep me motivated. I don’t like to do worse than the day before. I want to keep doing better and better.
I’m also rocking taking 15 minutes for myself each day. I like to start my day by laying in bed and focusing on what makes me happy. Views like this….
Starting the day in my happy place (even if only in my head) puts my head in a good place.
And my last win is spending time with my family having fun. We have had a lot of together time during the blizzard of 2016 and we are all still here. I count that as a win!
