Control The Temperature With Your Voice To Keep Your Home Comfortable

Aprilaire and Amazon Alexa. Control the temperature in your house with your voice. Imagine laying in bed and asking Alexa to turn the heat up. I barely wake up to do it. #IAQbyAprilaire

This is a sponsored post.  Over a month ago, we had four Aprilaire products installed in our home to monitor and manage our indoor air quality. It was the best decision we ever made. And I’ll show you how to control the temperature with your voice. It’s so easy to do.

Allergies and Indoor Air Quality

This summer has been awful for my oldest son’s allergies. He was sneezing all day long and sometimes 10-15 times in a row. He sounded like he had a permanent cold and I could tell he was miserable.

We were looking at different meds he could try and I was about to take him to a specialist when I was contacted by Aprilaire. As I did the research into the company and their products, I knew we had to give it a try.

About Aprilaire

I’m happy to report that my son has had not only days without a sneeze, but many weeks without one sneeze. He looks much better and feels much better.

Temperature and Indoor Air Quality

I’m sure you know your thermostat very well. You know exactly what it needs to be set at to be comfortable. We did too until we had the Aprilaire products installed. But it’s all good. We have been able to keep our temperatures higher in the past month and I’m sure it’s because we have less humidity in our house since having the dehumidifier installed.

Control the temperature inside the app. You can also see the outside temperature.

I can’t wait to see our electric bills for the last month and compare it to last year.

WiFi Thermostat and Amazon Alexa

Being able to control our temperatures and the humidity levels with the app or Alexa has been awesome. Last week, some of us were out of town and some were at home. I was able to check the temperatures since we had an extreme heat wave. I wanted to be sure my family was still comfortable.

Now you can control the temperature with your voice to make your house comfortable. I love using this when I’m uncomfortable in the middle of the night, but I don’t feel like getting out of bed to change the thermostat. If I get up, I’ll be awake. I barely have to wake up to ask Alexa to adjust the temperature.

Using the App to Adjust the Temperature

With the app, you can set up a schedule so the temperatures will change at certain times. Our schedule changes at the following times:

  • Wake up
  • Everyone off to school and work
  • Kids home from school
  • After dinner
  • Bedtime

The schedules are different for our upstairs and downstairs depending on the time of day.

And the added bonus is the compatibility with Amazon Alexa when the temperature needs immediate adjusting

Bottom Line

So far we are loving the Aprilaire products that we had installed. My only regret isn’t that we didn’t know any better and hadn’t done it sooner.
