Celebrating The Phantom of the Opera With a Party
My favorite musical of all time is The Phantom of the Opera. Not only is my son’s school doing The Phantom of the Opera for their spring musical this year, but tomorrow, The Phantom of the Opera at the Royal Albert Hall [Blu-ray] is being released in DVD. I’m so excited for both!!
I am going to celebrate the month of romance with a small intimate Phantom of the Opera viewing party. Universal Studios is sending me The Phantom of the Opera party pack including masks, tealights and a candle holder.
To set the mood, I will serve champagne with raspberries and chocolate by candlelight. I downloaded music from The Phantom of the Opera on iTunes and I will play that as we get ready to watch the movie.
The release of The Phantom of the Opera at the Royal Albert Hall is a collaboration with composer Andrew Lloyd Webber and producer Cameron Mackintosh to celebrate the 25th anniversary of The Phantom of the Opera on October 2, 2011. This show was beamed live via satellite to cinemas across the globe and is the first time a live performance of The Phantom of the Opera is being released for watching at home.
Here is an awesome preview.
After the party tonight, I will have a full review of The Phantom of the Opera at the Royal Albert Hall DVD.
Disclosure: I received the party pack and The Phantom of the Opera at the Royal Albert Hall DVD from Universal for the party. No other compensation was made for this post. All opinions are 100% my own. Affiliate links within post.

I love how passionate you are about this particular show, Michele! What a happy coincidence that your son is doing the exact same show at school, huh?
Personally, I’ve never been a big musical guy. I’ve got nothing against them but have trouble with how 80% of the show is sung. I’ve had my fiance begging me to take her to something though – would I be right in guessing if I asked for your suggestion that you answer might be a little predictable? 😛
LOL! yes, my answer would be Phantom of the Opera for sure. My younger kids loved it too which surprised me, but it held their attention for the full movie and show.
Nevermind, I figured it out. Got help from a friend! Thanks anyway 🙂
Hi im planning a phantom of the opera themed party for my school club. I was wondering how you got universal studios to send you the party pack. Thanks 🙂
