The Olympus Tough waterproof camera can handle some pretty extreme conditions. You can
- Drop it up to 6.6 ft
- Take in the water down to 33 ft
- Crush it with up to 220 lbs of pressure
- Freeze it down to 14 degrees F
And you will still be able to use the camera.
This means that you can take this camera on vacation with you and not be afraid to take it with you to all the exotic places and excursions you will go on.
The Olympus Tough TG-820 is a compact camera, but feels solid and sturdy in my hand. The lens, body and battery/SD card compartment are all well-protected from dust and the elements.
This waterproof camera also takes great photos. Here is a sample of some of the photos I took. (Photos of the camera were taken with my Olympus PEN E-PM1. All other photos taken with the Olympus Tough TG-820.)
The Olympus TG-820 has an awesome feature where you can fix blemishes, soften, etc while the photo is in the camera. That’s why my face looks so good. LOL!
Last week, I attended an event and I tested the Olympus Tough waterproof camera. I took these photos in a dark room and from way in the back. I’m very happy with the photos.
The Olympus Tough also comes with “Magic” which are filters you can add right in the camera. Here are a few samples…
The one feature I have not been able to test is the waterproof because we have not been to the beach or pool since I got the camera. We will be going to Hawaii and I will take the camera to the beach and snorkeling so I’ll report back with those pictures.
