waterpik waterfloss logoI wish I could tell you that I floss everyday, but the reality of it is that I probably only floss a few times a week. Flossing just isn’t a lot of fun. When I had the opportunity to try the Waterpik Waterflosser (WP-100), that sounded like fun.

Testing Waterpik Water Flosser

Using the Water Flosser looks complicated, but it really is very easy. Be sure to follow the directions included on the quick start guide in the box otherwise, you may end up with more of a mess. Watching this video will also help.

My Experience With Water Flosser

Using the Waterpik Water Flosser is really fun. It feels quite different than using waxy floss. I have very sensitive gums and my dentist is always telling not to brush so hard and to be very careful when I floss.

With the Water Flosser, I don’t have to worry about flossing to hard. I found that using the lowest setting worked well for me at first. Once I got used to using the Water Flosser, I increased the pressure slowly and I feel like I’m getting better results with more pressure.

waterpik water flosser sinkMy best piece of advice when using the Water Flosser? Lean over the sink! The first time I used it, it was messy because I wasn’t used to it. I kept forgetting to hit the pause button to turn the water off and then I’d let go of the pause before I put it back in my mouth. After a few days, that didn’t happen anymore.

I’m very interested to see if my dentist notices a difference because she is always telling me that she knows I don’t floss every day. I know I feel a difference after I use the Waterpik Water Flosser. I recently reviewed the Waterpik SinuSense too.

  • I don’t floss as much as I should. If I had one of these things I would be much better off. I wonder how much one of these costs anyway. I’d be interested in knowing.
