Best Tech Gifts for Scrapbookers
Epson Artisan 1430 Wireless Wide-Format Color Printer
The Epson Artisan 1430 printer earned its place on the tech gifts for scrapbookers list. Many scrapbookers create pages in a 12 x 12 format and the 1430 is a wide-format printer. Paper scrappers could create their own paper or elements in larger sizes and digital scrapbookers could print out the digital pages they have created. I was sent the Epson Artisan 1430 for review and I’ve fallen in love with it.
The 1430 is wireless, so we have it in our family room because it’s in a central place in our house. Of all the printers we have, the Epson 1430 is always reliable. We’ve had problems with some of our printers staying on our wireless wifi, but not the 1430.
We use it for every day printing, printing scrapbooking layouts, creating gifts, school projects and even printing off head shots for my son’s high school theater productions. I received the Epston Artisan 1430 for review.
The Nokia Lumia 1020 is a Windows Phone with a 41 mp camera built into the phone. I have always said that the best camera is the one that you always have with you. For most of us, that is our phones. With the Lumia 1020, you will have a phone and camera that takes high quality photos with you all the time.
Here are a few of the features that impress me about this phone and make it one of the best tech gifts for scrapbookers:
- You can zoom into a photo even after you’ve taken it and get a close shot without any loss of quality.
- The controls are simple to use so you can take the best photos possible.
- Full HD video with 4x zoom without loss of quality.
- It’s a full Windows 8 phone with Office 365.
The Wacom tablets have been on my desk since I started digital scrapbooking almost 10 years ago. Using the pen gives me more precise control over the adjustments I make to my photos. I purchased the Bamboo Fun a few years ago and I’m still using it. The Intuos Pen and Touch is a newer version and has touch capabilities also which mine does not have.
The Pen and Touch was designed for creative projects and can be used with Photoshop Elements to edit photos, draw, sketch and much more. It comes in 2 sizes, small and medium.
I have not tried this particular version, but it’s on the list of the best tech gifts for scrapbookers because I trust the Wacom name after having owned 4 of their tablets, I know each one only gets better.
The Samsung Galaxy Camera is different from other cameras because it comes in a 4G version. That’s why it made my best tech gifts for scrapbookers list. You can have your camera connected all the time so that you can forward photos as soon as you take a photo. Imagine taking & uploading photos for Instagram with your camera. I tested a Samsung Galaxy Camera for 3 weeks earlier in the year.
- 21x Optical Zoom
- S Voice so you can control the camera with your voice
- 4.8″ LCD screen
- Android platform
- Edit the photos instantly on using apps
- 8GB internal and can add up to 32GB external memory
Designer Digital Digital Scrapbooking Gift Certificates
Designer Digitals has mostly digital scrapbooking supplies, but some of the products can be used for paper scrapbooking too. Print them out on the Epson Artisan 1430 and you can use them in you paper pages. I love all the templates and elements available for doing Project Life, Project 365, Project 52, December Daily and any other scrapbooking projects you may be doing.
I’m working on an album for my oldest son who will be graduating in June of 2014 and I’m using templates from Designer Digitals. I have bought products from Designer Digitals for many years and now I help share and spread the word about the products.
Disclosure: I received some of the above products for review. Reviewing the product does not guarantee it will be on my gift guide. All opinions are 100% my own. Affiliate links withing the post.
