Planning an Awesome Summer After Graduation

Planning an Awesome Summer After Graduation

I barely remember the summer after my high school graduation, but I do know it’s supposed to be an “epic” summer. In the scheme of my life, it was just another summer. But if you want to make yours memorable, there are many apps on Windows 8 that will help you plan the “Summer of  Lifetime.” This is a Windows Champion sponsored post.

If you are unsure what you want to do this summer after graduation, check out these 6 Ways to Spend Your Summer After Graduation. I’m going to focus on the travel because that would be my first choice.

Planning A Beach Vacation

Heading off to the beach with your friends and not a care in the world for a week is my idea of the perfect after graduation summer plan. Using the Bing Travel App, you can find the closest beach, hotels and fun things to do at the beach. I’m thinking some mini golf, maybe a ferris wheel, games on the boardwalk, a snow cone or 2…. Ahhhh!

Planning an International Trip

This would be my second choice if I couldn’t find a beach I wanted to go to. I haven’t done much international travel myself and the summer after graduation is the perfect time to take off and explore the world. I wish I had done more of that when I was younger. The City Guide has several guides for International cities.

Planning a Museum Trip

Before you poo-poo this idea…this can be an interesting trip. You can either plan a local museum trip or travel world-wide to some very famous museums. Find museums related to your interests and this could be a blast. Do you think they have a museum of beaches? If they do, you should find it in the Museums of the World app.

Planning A Random Trip

If you are not sure where you want to go, Fodor’s has a lot of ideas. You could plan a cruise and visit many cities. Or just close your eyes and pick a spot and head there. Lots of ideas in the Fodor’s Travel App.

My Pick For Summer Travel

This summer we are heading to Myrtle Beach for a dance competition, so I’ve been checking out the attractions using the Bing Travel App.

My summer pick

With all of those great apps, you should have no problems planning an awesome graduation summer trip. College starts in the fall, so enjoy this summer! There is always time for this college prep we are supposed to be doing this summer.

Did you take (or will you take) a trip the summer after your graduation? Where did you go? If you could go anywhere, where would you go?

Disclosure: As a Windows Champion, I received product and travel opportunities in exchange for my participation. No other compensation was received.

  • Great suggestions for summer after graduation travel plans!

I didn’t travel the summer after graduation. I spent the summer working. I think it would be better to enjoy the summer.

Let me know what you thought!!
