Steve Jobs; My Thoughts and Memories
I remember when my Dad had an Apple IIe when I was a teen. It was so different from anything I’d ever seen. We had Atari for playing games, but it was the first time we had a computer. Boy, how that Apple changed my life.
After I graduated from college, I wanted my own Apple computer (we had moved on from the Apple IIe.) It was the first major purchase I made myself. That was how I met my husband. As they say, the rest is history.
Visiting The Mothership
A few years ago I went to visit a friend in San Francisco and the first thing I did was head straight to Silicon Valley to see all the tech companies. That included Apple and the home where it all started.

They an Apple store on campus, but it was closed, hence my thumbs down. We did go back a few days later and it was open.
Commencement Speech
This is one of my favorite commencement speeches that Steve Jobs gave:
Where Was I
I was at dinner with my AMD Tech Moms and AMD friends when we saw the news on Twitter on an iPhone. We thought it was a hoax at first, but then we saw this on the Apple website and knew it was true.
Where were you when the news broke? Did you first hear the news on a gadget that Steve Jobs brought us?
Love this post, Michele! I have so many wonderful memories of Apple computers. It was the computer I used in high school, and when I bought my first computer, it was an Apple – and I had to take a loan out for it because it was beyond my college budget!!
I first head the news on Twitter on my MacBook Pro.
RIP Steve Jobs……the world will never be the same without you.
It just feels like the end of an era.
