Piper nv Home Security Camera #MyPiper #PiperSecurity #AD
This post is sponsored by Piper.
During our recent beach vacation, I had a chance to test out the Piper nv home security surveillance camera. Here is my full review and there is a giveaway at the end of the post.
When I leave on vacation, there are several things I worry about.
- Are our cats ok and have they knocked over anything that could cause a fire or hurt them.
- Is anyone in my home who shouldn’t be while I am gone.
- Is the house too hot/cold?
The Piper nv helped me answers those questions while I was laying right here:
If I want to check on my cats, I can do that. This is what I see on my phone using the Piper app.
There is a 180-degree view, so you can put your finger on the image and move the image around to see more of the room.
Here is the Piper nv in my house:
If it is at night and I want to see if anyone is in my house who shouldn’t be, this is what I’ll see.
As you can see, my house sitter is walking in the hall. Since he is supposed to be there, all is good.
Piper nv Modes
What I love about the Piper nv is the different modes you can set up. If it’s night-time, I use the stay setting so I’ll be alerted if someone is in the house or a loud noise is heard downstairs. Piper nv will start to record and send me an alert.
There is also an away mode and vacation mode. We use away when we are not in the house and vacation mode is for vacations. A high-pitched sound will go off if someone is detected while in vacation mode along with an alert to me and Piper will start recording.
For each mode, you set up the actions that happen. If you add accessories such as a door sensor or smart switch, you can have lights turn when movement is detected or when a door (with a sensor) is opened. The options are endless depending on what accessories you add.
Home Vital Stats
Wonder if the house is too hot because the temps are way above what you thought they would be? With Piper, I can check what the temp is in my house, outside my house and look at many other vital stats.
These vital stats are pretty interesting to look at.

NV means night vision. What I like about this home monitor system is that For each mode, you set up the actions that happen. If I want to add accessories such as a door sensor or smart switch, I can can have the lights turn when movement is detected or when a door (with a sensor) is opened! This is so good because it makes me feel safe while on vacation, and I can find out quickly if their is an intruder in my house while I am gone!
