The Powermat Charges the iPhone 4 Wirelessly #Spon
Our household is definitely a power house. We have many devices that need to be charged. It seems that everyone wants to charge at the same time and there are only so many plugs in the kitchen. We’ve been looking for a way to use one plug, but charge 2-3 devices at the same time. When I was offered the Powermat 3x to review, I was really excited because this might be the answer we need.
The Powermat 3x will charge up to 3 devices at the same time. The Powermat also comes in a 1x and 2x version. All 3 versions come with or without the Powercube. The Powercube comes with the following tips: Mini USB, Micro USB, Samsung, LG, Apple, Nintendo DSi and DS Lite and Sony PSP. To charge your cell phone, there are receivers for several different phones.
I received the iPhone 4 receiver. When you put the receiver down on the Powermat, you will feel a slight magnetic pull and a light turns on to show that the device is charging. You do not need any cords when you have the receiver on your device. We charged up 2 devices at once and the charge didn’t take any longer than it would had I plugged it directly into the wall.
My only concern with the iPhone 4 receiver is that it didn’t feel like it was protecting my iPhone very well. When I had the receiver on my iPhone, I found it difficult to press the on/off button on the top of the phone.
The Powermat with Powercube worked well for charging my Nintendo DSi and my Kodak cameras. I really like the ability to just drop my iPhone onto the Powermat and charge it up. I hate messing with cords and I’m always losing my cords.
I have put the Powermat in our kitchen and we are using it to charge several devices at once. I plan to purchase another Powercube so that we can charge even more. I use the receiver case while I am in my house so I can easily put my iPhone on the Powermat.
The Powermat 3x with Powercube retails for $99.99 and the iPhone 4 receiver retails for $39.99.
Disclosure: I received the Powermat 3x charging mat and iPhone 4 receiver case in exchange for my review. I was not compensated in any other way. All opinions are 100% my own.
