I asked my eight year old to help me out with Nickelodeon’s Monkey Quest online game. That was where I went wrong. I lost him for the rest of the afternoon. I really should have asked him to do his chores before he started playing. I think the monkeys captured him because he was hooked!
Monkey Quest is a free online game on the Nickelodeon website. There are options to purchase Nick Cash or become a member on the game. You can play more levels and buy more things for your monkeys. You start by making your own monkey, naming him and then playing through levels. You master a level when you complete a quest. You unlock more features as you move up the levels.
Monkey Quest Interview
It’s easier to show you the game than to describe it, so I interviewed my 8-year-old while he was playing Monkey Quest.
He got right into it and played much of the afternoon. He had spent the morning in the ER (he is ok now), so I figured he deserved a little down time.
I checked out the safety features of the game and I felt comfortable letting my 8-year-old play the game.
Monkey Quest Game Pack Giveaway
I have one (1) Monkey Quest Game Pack to giveaway to one (1) lucky reader. The game pack includes a Monkey Quest tote bag, t-shirt and hat along with an insider’s guide to best navigate the land of Ook.
If you had a monkey, what would you name him/her?
That’s it! Very simple. The giveaway will end at Noon on Monday, August 22, 2011. I will randomly choose one (1) winner using “And The Winner Is.” The winner will have 24 hours to respond via email or I will choose another winner.
Disclosure: I received a $25 Gift Card from Nickelodeon to use in the Monkey Quest game in exchange for this review. All opinions are my own (or my son’s.)
