Life360’s Circles Keeps Track of Your Family and Friends #Sponsored
Have you ever tried to find out where someone is, but they are driving? I have this problem almost daily in my house. Life360 has created Circles to help you answer that question. With a new driver in the house, I get very worried if he is 10 – 15 minutes late. That may not sound like a long time, but when he said he just left school and he should have been home, I worry.
I don’t want to call or text him because I’m assuming he is driving and I don’t want to distract him. I trust that he won’t answer while driving, but even the buzzing of the phone is a distraction to a new driver.
So, what do I do? Well, in the past I worried and the got angry when he got home, but now with Life360, I plan to set up a circle for our family and when he is late, I will go to my Life360 app and check to see where he is. It won’t tell me if he is in an accident, but it will show me if he stopped at McDonald’s on the way home for a Diet Coke.
Circles can be set up for any number of groups. If you have a nanny or babysitter and she takes your children places, set up a circle with her in it and ask her to share her location with you when she is with your children. When she is not with your children, she can turn the location share off.
I can set up a circle with my son and his friends and their parents. When he is with his friends, he can turn the location share on and then those parents can also check to see where the kids are.
This may sound a bit overbearing, but I believe that this technology is used for good. My son doesn’t have to worry if he is stuck in traffic and he wants me to know where he is, but yet he can’t pull over to call or text. I’d rather he know that I can just check his location at any time and when it is safe, he can pull over.
Life360 is a free app available for iOS and Android phones.
What circles would you set up in Life360?
