Lenovo Smart Assistant; An Alexa Alternative #CES2017
This is a Lenovo sponsored post.
A few weeks ago at CES, I had the pleasure of attending the Lenovo CES VIP Blogger Cocktail Party hosted by Living in Digital Times. Lenovo introduced a few of the products they announced at CES. I loved getting my hands on the products. Nothing like touching the product and hearing about it someone at Lenovo.
My favorite was the Lenovo Smart Assistant. It is an alternative to the Amazon line of products with Alexa built-in. We have the Amazon Echo in our kitchen and it is fun to ask Alexa questions, most of the time we use it for music. I’m excited about this new Smart Assistant with the awesome speaker.
If you are looking for a better speaker, then the Smart Assistant with the Harman Kardon speakers is the one for you. This one comes in black and the retail price is $179.99.
If you are looking for a lower-priced Alexa option (and good sound), then one of the Lenovo Smart Assistant is for you. The retail price is $129.99 and comes in three colors. You can coordinate with your decor.
Lenovo Smart Assistant Features
Both versions of the Smart Assitant have the Alexa cloud-based voice recognition built-in, however, with the additional noise suppression and eight microphones, your voice can be recognized up to 16 feet away from the Smart Assistant. That has been a problem in our house since we have a noisy home. No more!
And no need to learn a new app with this device, you use the Amazon Alexa app that you know and love. This gives you access to the additional skills offered through the app. You can still control your smart home with this Smart Assitant.
Both versions of the Smart Assistant will be available in May 2017.
