Falling In Love With My New Kenmore Refrigerator
This is a Kenmore Sponsored post.
Have you ever fallen in love with an appliance? Neither had I….until recently. Last year we needed to buy a new refrigerator. We went straight to Sears (where we buy all our appliances and always have.) I saw this Kenmore Stainless Steel French Door Refrigerator and I fell in love!!
Inside My Kenmore Refrigerator
I know from the outside it doesn’t look much different from other refrigerators, but let’s take a look inside….
It’s gorgeous inside. My favorite feature is that all the fridge food is on top. I’m looking right at it. That alone has helped me keep it clean because I can see all the food. All of the shelves including the right door are adjustable. Several of the shelves can be pulled in or out to allow for taller items.
Here is how I have my refrigerator set up.
And, one side benefit with this set up, I eat more fruits and vegetables because I see them when I open the doors. They are not stuck down on the bottom.
The Middle Drawer
Everyone who sees our refrigerator is fascinated with the middle drawer. I admit, it is one of the features that sold me.
That is what it looks like when it’s pulled out. We keep meats and cheeses in this drawer. You can adjust the temperature for the middle drawer by pushing the select button. The choices are:
And it doesn’t always have to be the same. You can change it weekly. For us, the meat and cheese was always getting lost in a small drawer in our last fridge, so I like that this drawer is wide, but shallow, so we can see more.
Bottom Freezer
I’ve never had a bottom freezer so I wasn’t sure how I was going to like it. I LOVE IT!!! I go to the freezer less, so I don’t mind it being on the bottom.
There is the main large drawer on the bottom. That one is deep and I try to put items here that we have in multiples so I know what is underneath.
The drawer above has our frozen foods that are easy to make a quick meal like frozen chicken nuggets, frozen french fries, frozen cheeseburgers, etc.
The top drawer is usually just frozen meat, but sometimes other things are shoved in there (like the drumstick.)
Right against the door is a slot where we keep ice packs and the breakfast foods that my kids eat daily.
Ice/Water and Refrigerator Controls
These are the controls on the outside of the left door. You can adjust the temperature, lights, ice and water from here. Ice can be whole or crushed. You can also lock the controls so small hands will not make adjustments you do not want.
Yay or Ney?
I’m sure you figured out that it’s definitely a Yay! We all have fallen in love with this French Door style of refrigerator. It’s very different from what we normally have, but in a positive way.
This refrigerator is 26.2 cubic feet and we are a family of 6. We do have another fridge in our garage that is for water, juice boxes, soda, etc. We did that intentionally because I wanted the drink fridge to be colder than the fridge for the rest of the food. We have had no problems fitting our food (and Thanksgiving leftovers) in this refrigerator.
And I’ve heard a lot less of, “I can’t find it.” That is good!
Do you have any questions about the Kenmore Stainless Steel French Door Refrigerator from Sears? Have you fallen in love with an appliance? Tell me your stories.
Disclosure: I wrote this post as part of the Kenmore Ambassador program. I was compensated for this post, however I did choose and purchase the refrigerator on my own.
