10 Free Olympic Android Apps to Keep Up With Sochi 2014
The Olympics start tomorrow and as much I would love to sit in front of my TV and watch it 24/7, that just isn’t possible. So, instead, I went to my phone to keep up with the Olympic news.
I found 10 free Android Winter Olympic apps that will keep you updated with medal results, latest news, athlete bios, fun games, schedules and live broadcasts.
NBC Olympic Highlights
The Sochi Olympics are on NBC. This app will keep you up to date with the TV schedule, medal winnings and news. You can use this app to go with the NBC broadcast of the Olympics.

Follow any Olympian and see what they are sharing on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. This is for all athletes in any Olympics (winter or summer.)
Sochi 2014 WOW
This app is from Samsung who is a sponsor of the Sochi olympics. I’m excite about this app because you will be able to personalize your experience. I’m not really sure what that means, but I’ll be trying it out tomorrow night for sure.
Medal Alert
This app is an official IOC (International Olympic Committee) app where you set up notifications so you will immediately be notified when your favorites win a medal.
Sochi 2014 Results
This is the official Sochi 2014 results app.
#ItsOurTime presented by AT&T
This app by AT&T and lets you send a message of support to the US Olympic athletes.
NBC Sports Live Extra
If you can’t be in front of the TV, you can watch them LIVE on the NBC Live Extra app. I will be using this app a lot. You can set notifications so you won’t miss a thing. This app is not just for the Olympics, it’s for any NBC sports event.
