Holiday Tech Gift Guide for College Students

I have a college student in the house now, so this year, I’m doing a holiday gift guide for college students. These gifts are great for college student who live at home or in the dorms. If they live at home, they will hopefully be leaving sometime in the future and it never hurts to start equipping them.

Logitech Wireless Color Mouse

I love the wireless Logitech color mouse. Each of my kids have one and I have a few of them. Having the different colors available means you can match your college student’s style. I have a few in different colors to match my different computers.

It is small enough to fit in your backpack to bring with you to class or the library. Since it’s wireless, you don’t have to mess with wires and it also works very well as a mouse (since function is also important.)

20V MAX Lithium Pivot Vac

The 20V MAX Lithium Pivot Vac is serious power in a nice small package. The nozzle pivots to any angle which makes it very easy to get in different areas you may not be able to reach with any other vacuum. It’s perfect for a college dorm room because you can pick up any spills or messes right away and it’s small enough so it doesn’t take up much room.

It sits in a nice charger so that it’s ready to use at any time. We have ours next to our kitty litter because the cats are always getting the litter out of the box. It works well picking up the little stone-like stuff from the litter box.

Wireless Illuminated Living Room Keyboard

The Logitech Wireless Illuminated Living-Room Keyboard K830 was created for the living room specifically, but I think it’s perfect for a college student too. This keyboard connects with your PC and then the PC connects to the TV. The keyboard will help you when you need to type anything or control the PC.

College students are often working in groups on projects and this could help with researching online. It also illuminates so whether it’s dark or light, you can see the keyboard. It has a trackpad, so you don’t need a separate mouse either.

Bemo Social Video Camera

I love this little Bemo social video camera. It is so small and light so you can take it with you anywhere. I keep mine in my purse so I always have it, but a college student could easily keep it in their backpack.

You can very quickly capture 720p HD videos that can be shared quickly using your smart phone using the Bemo app. The Bemo app lets you edit and personalize the videos by adding headlines, music and filters and then you can share on your social networking sites (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)

It comes with a lanyard, so if you want to have it very handy, yet be ready in seconds to use, you can wear it around your neck. At first, I didn’t think I’d every use the lanyard, but I found it used it often.

Jabra ROX Wireless Earbuds

The Jabra ROX wireless earbuds keep the wires out of the way so you can listen and not get tangled up. It’s also perfect if you have a roommate because you can have the headphones on while laying in bed so you don’t disturb anyone. You won’t get all tangled in the wires.

You can control the sound with the wireless controls so you don’t have to have the music player right in your hands either. And best of all, you get great sound too.
