The Chromebook OS is Google Chrome and you download Apps and Extensions that run on the Chrome browser. When they are doing homework, my kids like to check both Google & Bing for answers. They can do that with the Chromebook.

They will use Google Drive to upload a document and access it from their phones or another computer if someone is using the Chromebook.

Overall Impression of the Chromebook

I wasn’t sure how I was going to like the Acer C720P Chromebook because it is so different. I’ve found that we grab it and take it with us when we are out for a while and I know we may have to spend some time waiting. I can easily put it in my purse and pull it out when the kids get bored (or I get bored.)

We never take the cord with us because the battery lasts a long time. We just charge up when we get home.

Because we all have our own account, I don’t have to spend time changing the things my kids have messed up. I don’t worry about them sending email with my account or doing some other crazy thing.
