We all know and love the Marvel Super Heroes. My kids love playing The Hulk or Ironman. They were really excited when we received the [amazon_link id=”B00821HMDM” target=”_blank” ]Marvel Avengers Battle for Earth video game for Xbox Kinect[/amazon_link] from Ubisoft. Now they would get to fight like a real Super Hero.
Avengers Battle for Earth Review
Nicky (9 yr boy) & Megan (8 yr girl) were my lucky testers. (See note at the end about game rating.) I figured since they fight so much, I might as well let them duke it out against each other under the disguise of a Super Hero.
First they had to pick which Super Hero they wanted to be. Nicky chose The Hulk and Megan was the Black Widow.
They took their positions side by side and then followed the fighting directions on the screen. The game has you kicking, jumping, punching and ducking.
You stand side by side with your opponent, so you won’t really kick your brother in the face (thankfully.)
If you follow the moves on the screen, you will have a better chance of beating your opponent.
Avengers Battle for Earth Features
- There are 20 Super Heroes and Villains to choose as your character.
- There are many game modes so you will never be bored. Play with 1 – 4 players.
- As you worth through the different battles, you unlock different outfits and game cards.
- You use your body’s motion to fight so you are constantly moving. It is definitely not a couch potato game.
- Play both online or offline.
Play Avengers Before Your Kids Play
The Game is rated T (Teen), but I didn’t see anything that bothered me when my 8 & 9-year-old were playing. You might want to play the game yourself before you let your younger kids play it. It was a lot of the typical cartoon Super Hero fighting which is exactly what I expected.
Disclosure: As an UbiChamp, I receive games in exchange for reviews. All opinions are always 100% my own.
Let’s Talk About the Avengers Xbox Kinect Game!
Which Super Hero is your favorite? If you could have any super power what would it be?
That’s a good idea about letting the kids duke it out via kinect. Plus they are getting exercise. I have a lot of good memories about trading marvel comic books with friends as a kid. Nice to be able to relive them (somewhat) with the kids through these video games. 🙂
