artcircles app for ipadWhat do you think of when you see the word, “art“? Me? I get scared because art is something that I know nothing about so I’m afraid to look at it or talk about it.

The new (free) iPad app, artCircles (download link) by is so exciting. Finally art brought to life in a really geeky way. has a huge collection of hand-picked art which they are bringing to the iPad through artCircles.

Not So Scary Art

In the past I have been afraid to step into an art studio for fear of sounding stupid or buying the wrong piece of art. It took me a long time to realize that art is something very personal. Everyone sees and interprets art differently.

artCircles Video

This is a great video showing some of the art you will find on artCircles.

The artCircles app shows art collections curated by many different types of people (not just artists). There are also collections by words and color (with more to come). So you know that I immediately looked at the Orange collection.

Words include oceanic, saturated, eye-opening and much more.

And the best part? You can become the curator of your own collection of art that you like.

What I love the most about the artCircles app is that the app itself is a piece of art. The design is so pleasing and a lot of fun to use. It makes art a TON OF FUN!!

My Kind of Art

My husband and I are fans of  Thomas McKnight prints because of the colors and he often has the ocean in his prints. With artCircles, I could go directly to the colors I like and the word oceanic to find more art that we may also like.

Everyone will have a lot of fun with the artCircles iPad app.
