Thanksgiving means families gather together just to be together. It’s the one holiday where the focus really is on the family and not on presents or others. It’s my favorite holiday for that very reason.
Lost In The Details!
Sometimes we can get too caught up in the details and the plans and forget what Thanksgiving is all about. It’s taken me a while, but now I try very hard to focus on my family being together and forget the details.
Who cares if we don’t have homemade pie or mashed potatoes? Will it matter if the green beans came out of a can? No! But it will matter if you get so caught up in those details that you don’t have time to spend with your family…quality time.
When I think about Thanksgiving, I remember my Grandparents coming over.
With 2 teens and 2 tweens in the house, I make sure that the memories we are making now revolve around our family and not the food or fighting or anything else.

This Thanksgiving, we had a few added chaotic moments. Everyone was sick and I ended up in the ER the week before. But, even with all the chaos, I had time to create this video on Animoto because it didn’t take long at all.
