Has technology helped you achieve your dreams? A few years ago I ran my first 5k and my hope was to finish. The next year, I set a goal to finish the 5k with my older kids and achieved it. I probably would have stopped there, but my online community of friends were achieving their dreams of running half marathons and marathons. I set a goal of running a half marathon. Online communities can be very supportive when you want to achieve your dreams.
Achieve Your Dreams
Last week I completed the Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon in Virginia Beach. How did technology play into achieving my dream? As many of you know, I’m a geek. I never even considered running until I discovered all the awesome technology that would track my progress. If it’s possible to achieve your dreams using technology, then I’m more likely to achieve mine. You need to find the path that suits you to achieve your dreams.
I watched my progress online as I was running farther and farther. Seeing the progress each week kept my motivation up. There were times when it seemed impossible, but I would look at how far I’ve come and I kept going.
This past week, my 12-year-old daughter decided she wanted to run a half marathon too. Together we will achieve her dream as we track our progress using technology.
Using Technology to Achieve Your Dreams
Recently, AMD achieved their dream and set the Guinness World Record for the “Highest Frequency of a Computer Processor,” by overclocking the upcoming 8-core AMD FX desktop processor.
Laptop to Help YOU Achieve Your Dreams With Technology
UPDATE: Winner is @CrashTestMommy
As an AMD Mom and to celebrate AMD’s achievement, I am giving away one (1) HP Pavilion dm1z (E-450) laptop (retail value $399) to one lucky reader of my blog. This laptop is so new that it hasn’t been released yet.
This newer version of the dm1z model (my review of the current model) features improved performance and the same high quality battery life. The newest addition is HP’s Beats audio system–a unique, high-performance technology developed by HP and Beats by Dr. Dre.
