KRE-O Transformers Building Sets Review
Building is such an important part of playing for kids. It’s so natural for kids to want to build and they often want to build what they see and know. KRE-O has taken the Transformers characters and given kids the building blocks to build their favorite Transformer in either robot or vehicle mode.
The KRE-O TRANSFORMERS are geared for boys ages 6 and up, but when I opened the box with the KRE-O TRANSFORMERS in it, both my 9 yr old son and 8 yr old daughter yelled. They both thought it looked like so much fun. Here they are right after I pulled the boxes out. They just kept staring at the box in awe.
Destruction Site Devastator
They were reading the box and getting really excited about building so many characters. This larger KRE-O TRANSFORMERS is the Destruction Site Devastator. This set is for building 4 Construction robots or the Decepticon robot, Devastator. This larger set has 560 pieces and is for more advanced builders ages 8 and up.
Smaller KRE-O TRANSFORMERS Sets
We received 2 smaller sets, Cycle Chase and Decepticon Ambush which have appox 75 pieces and are good for beginning builders ages 6 and up.
If you are unsure where your child might be on the level of what they can build, try buying one of the smaller sets to see whether they can build it on their own. I have seen it with all my kids…the joy when they build their first building set alone. They are so proud.
Each one of the set, both large and small comes with a KREON figure (either an Autobot or Decepticon.) My kids decided to start with the smaller sets.
My favorite feature of the KRE-O TRANSFORMERS is that they are made to be build, taken apart and built again. Since the TRANSFORMERS transform from a robot character to a vehicle, kids will want to transform the KRE-O. The set will have hours and hours of building fun.
KREON Stocking Stuffer
If you are looking for a great stocking stuffer, try the KREON Micro-Changers Mystery Bags. Each Mystery Bag has a random KREON figure for $2.99.
