Our Earth to Echo Inspired Adventure Video #EarthtoEcho
This is a sponsored post.
Do you remember all the backyard summer adventures you had as a kid? I remember building forts out of anything we could find outside. Riding our bikes up and down the street until our parents yelled for us to come in. Those adventures created some life-long friendships.
In the summer adventure movie, Earth to Echo, 3 friends, Tuck, Munch and Alex are inseparable, but things may soon come to an end. A new highway construction project threatens their neighborhood. With just a few days left, they embark on an adventure that tests their friendship. They receive a cryptic signal on their cell phones. They decide to figure out where the messages are coming from which leads to the grandest adventure of all.
Our Neighborhood Summer Adventure
We created our own adventure inspired by the Earth to Echo movie. I set the story by telling my kids that Echo brought them back to his planet. When they got there, they realized they had no way back home.
They needed to gather items from around them to build a new space ship to take them home.
I created this scavenger hunt and my kids and 2 friends had a blast scavenging around our neighborhood looking for things on this list.
Then they went on to create a bit of their own exciting Echo adventure.
Back to Earth Scavenger Hunt Video
Here is our video of our Back to Earth scavenger hunt. The footage that looks very real was filmed at the Udvar Hazy Smithsonian Space Museum in Virginia.
We had fun going to the museum and finding things we could use to add to our adventure. This was definitely a family adventure to remember. It is so easy for your family to create a summer adventure inspired by the Earth to Echo movie. It could be a scavenger hunt, a bike ride, camping in your backyard or watching the stars at night and creating your own adventure stories.
Friendship is the greatest adventure of all. Earth to Echo will be in theaters July 2, 2014.
The film stars Teo Halm, Brian “Astro” Bradley, Reese Hartwig and Ella Linnea Wahlestedt . Earth to Echo is rated PG
