Brighten Up Anything With 3M Scotch Expressions Tape From Office Depot #Spon + Coupon
Last week I wasn’t feeling well, so to keep my kids entertained, I gave them a box of Scotch Expressions Tape and Duct Tape from Office Depot (disclosure: received for free in exchange for this post) and challenged them to take this box of Expressions Tape and brighten up their rooms.
My 9-year-old took the challenge and ran with it. She couldn’t stop brightening up her room. Before I show you all that she did, let me tell you a bit about the 3M Scotch Expressions Tape.
3M Scotch Expressions Tape at Office Depot
Office Depot has the largest selection of the tape. Here is an aisle of Expressions and Duct Tape at my local Office Depot. (Here is a link to an Office Depot coupon – $1.00 off any roll of Expressions or Duct Tape.)
There are different types of Scotch Expressions tape available:
- Washi Tape
- Masking Tape
- Magic Tape
- Shipping Tape
- and Duct Tape
Each of these 5 come in a large variety of colors and designs. I love the thought of brightening up a package you send with some bright shipping tape. Sometimes the small things like that add a personal touch that can brighten someone’s day.
Megan’s Expressions Decor
My daughter Megan had so much fun. Here are some of the things she decorated:
The pink stool that is in her bathroom that had some “baby” designs on it and now is a cool and colorful tween stool. I did the petroleum jelly jar. It sits on my nightstand and I was tired of looking at the labels, so I added some color.
Megan has had this chair in her room since she was a toddler and at some point she got some stickers and put them all over the chair. She used the Expressions Tape to cover the ugly stickers and now the chair matches her personality…colorful!
Here is a composition notebook Megan added some personal flair to.
And here is a tissue box, she decorated.
Other Expressions Tape Designs
Megan isn’t the only one who came up with some designs. My 14-year-old covered her computer to add her favorite animal print.
I added the tape to the edge of a page of my planner. At the end of my planner there are blank sheets of paper and I can never find them. I added the Washi tape to the edge of the first blank page and now I can easily get to it.
Your Only Limit? Your Imagination
As you can see, the only limits to what you can decorate with the Scotch Expressions tape is your imagination. My kids will be adding the Washi tape to their school supplies when school starts to add a personal flair and so they can easily tell which scissors (or other supplies) belong to them.
Disclosure: I received 3M Expressions Tape to help facilitate this review and was compensated by Office Depot for my time.
Go on over to the Scotch Expressions Tape at Office Depot web page and find your favorite design. What would you decorate with the Expressions Tape?
Don’t forget the $1.00 off any roll of Expressions Tape or Duct Tape coupon.
Oh those are all such cool ideas, those tapes really do look fun!
They are tons of fun. I never thought decorating with tape would be so much fun, but it was. And our favorite was the chair. It was a lot easier than painting the chair!!!
Oh I believe that! I am starting to get into buying used furniture at flea markets for cheap and then fixing them up to fit my style. I never thought about using tape in any of my projects, but your chair does look really cute and it would be a lot easier then sanding and painting.
Awesome idea! I’ll probably never look at an old piece of furniture the same. It will now be a new project!
