Rapportive Brings Social Networking to Your Email
Have you ever received an email from someone you didn’t know and you went to Twitter and LinkedIn to check them out? Rapportive brings the social networking to your email. With Rapportive installed, you can see a person’s Twitter, Facebook and LInkedIn information if they are emailing you with the same email they used to sign up for their social networking sites.
As you can see in the above screen print, Rapportive shows you more about the person(s) emailing you. You can add them as a friend on Facebook or LinkedIn right from your email. I can see their last few Twitter updates, Facebook updates, Klout & Peer Index all from my email. If you mouse over the Klout or Peer Indes, you will see my scores.
Since this is my Rapportive profile, I can click on any of the positions listed and change them or add new ones. If I emailed you, this is what is shown to the right of your open email in Gmail when Rapportive is installed.
In the upper right near the setting for your Gmail, you will see the word, Rapportive. This is where you log in or add more Raplets. The Klout and Peer Index were Raplets I added on after I installed Rapportive.
Rapportive works in Firefox, Safari, Chrome and Mailplane. Check the Rapportive website to install.
