A Few Pics From My Austin Trip

I’m in The Dallas airport waiting for my next flight. I am so ready to go home. I was meeting with my fellow AMD Tech Moms, @Techsavvymama and @LittleTechGirl at AMD. Great meetings, great food, great friends…. It was a productive and fun trip.

We learned how to cook Thai food at Thai Fresh in Austin. I can't eat Thai (bothers my chronic pancreatitis) so I watched.

A little boot shopping. I'm not really a cowboy boot person, but they had some really gorgeous ones.

Horrible picture, but it's a box made from recycled keyboards. Cool stuff.

Looking Awesome at Blogher11 With Fresh Produce

If you know me, then you know that I do not like to get dressed up at all. I prefer to be very comfortable. I would live in my PJs all day every day if I could. I discovered Fresh Produce Clothing last year and I have been a fan ever since. Everything is made with comfort in mind.

Fresh Produce for Traveling

The first Fresh Produce outfit I wore was perfect for traveling to BlogHer. Coming from the DC area, it is a long flight and often I have to get right to work so I need to look nice too.

This top has a HUGE pocket that was great for keeping my ticket, phone, id and a few dollars. It also doubled as a hand warmer on the COLD airplane.

I ended up wearing this cami under the tunic. I thought that if it was really warm, I could take the tunic off and I would still have a shirt on.

These Fresh Produce Getaway Clamdigger Pants were so comfortable. I had them in gray and I love them. You can wear them cropped or all the way down. For me since I’m short, the cropped style was more comfortable.

And here are a few pictures of me in my Fresh Produce outfit before I left home. I was alone, so the best way to get a full length picture was in the mirror.

And this was really early in the morning as I was leaving to catch a 6am flight. So please excuse the tired face…

Fresh Produce For Brunch

And the second outfit I have from Fresh Produce for BlogHer is this tank dress. This dress was the most comfortable. I wore it on the last day of BlogHer because I attended a Ladies Who Tech Brunch and I was getting on a plane and flying 5 hours home. Once again, I wanted to be very comfortable. The dress easily went from looking dressy to being a comfortable travel outfit.

I even brought the Fresh Produce Tank Dress with me on our beach vacation. I wanted something I could wear over my suit so I’d be ready for lunch or shopping AND I could dress it up with some awesome blingy shoes and be ready to go out for a nice dinner. I never needed it for dinner, but it was great to know it was there.

Here is me in the tank dress. I wore it with a white tank top I had and paired it with a boyfriend shirt I also had in my closet. In my hotel room getting ready.

And here I am at the Clever Girls’ Ladies Who Tech Brunch. I got a lot of compliments on the Fresh Produce dress. Everyone said that color looks great on me and of course it’s orange.

Long Days + Travel + No Sleep = Sick Again

This was my view today. I’m back from 10 days of travel. I left on October 8 for Bligalicious in Miami for 3 days. I came home with a horrible case if strep throat. I got antibiotics and 2 days later I was on my way to las Vegas for BlogWorld Expo for 5 days.

I will write up all the details from my 2 trips when I feel better. I’m sick again today….stomach this time.

When I have weeks like this and I get sick, it is a reminder of how sensitive our bodies are to the things we put it through. I know being sick is my body’s way of telling me to rest. I ignored the pleas for the last 2 weeks, but not anymore.

How does your body deal with stress?

ScrappinMichele In Paradise

I found paradise in Hawaii. I have been here for 2 days and I love it. The weather is awesome. The view is even better. And the best thing? I get great beach hair. I love the way my hair dries when I am outside on the beach. I get a great natural highlight treatment.

I’m not going to be blogging much, but I will upload some pictures every few days.

On Monday I will be turning 43 and Jason and I are going to walk up Diamond head just because. I think it’s an awesome way to remember my 43rd birthday.

I had a wonderful welcoming party post all ready to go on April 8. I then flew to Miami with my hubby for the weekend and assumed it would post on it’s own as I had schedule. It seems that technology got the best of this geek and the post is completely gone.

In the meantime, here is a picture of what I was doing all weekend long in Miami. It was such a rough weekend! Ahhhh…Miami take me away!

This is my favorite photo of my husband and I. It was taken in 2002 when we went on a cruise alone. It was a 4 day, 3 night cruise to the Bahamas. It was my first cruise and I loved it. It was so relaxing because you are so far away from anything and you feel like you can totally relax and not have a care in the world. We both look so happy. I love the water and the beach so this reminds me of my favorite place and with my favorite person!

I love this photo. It’s not very clear, but I guess that is San Fran. It shows the mountains in the background with the city and the water. We were going over a bridge on the way to the San Fran airport.

I absolutely love this shot! I was in San Francisco for only a few hours at this point. My plane landed and we went directly to San Fran to do some sight seeing. The few from up here was fantastic. You could see everything and it was a perfect day.

San Fran Trip Day 1

My trip starts at 6:24 am with a 6 hour flight to San Francisco. I am watching The Day The Earth Stood Still. Well, it is more like listening to the movie because I can not see any of the screens very well. It sounds like a pretty interesting movie about some alien who comes to save the earth by taking over some guy’s body and befriending a scientist with a step son. She, of course is the only one who believes him and then finds out he is saving the earth from…..spoiler alert

Ourselves. Yep. Us. So I think this movie is supposed to scare us into being more green. Have you made any changes to help save the earth?

I just downloaded a book about blogging about topics other than what you ate. I mention that because I am about to tell you what I ate for breakfast on the plane, but I feel like I am committing some major blogging crime. But I have decided to take more chances in my life and break a few noncriminal rules. So, I had the fresh $9 breakfast which consisted of grapes, cheese triangles, tiny crackers, strawberry yogurt and a mini banana loaf. It was not bad as far as airline food goes. It was fresh, cold, and delivered right to my seat. I topped that off with an ice cold refreshing diet coke. (another blogging rule I must follow – describe things thoroughly and with very descriptive words so my audience feels as though they are with me on the adventure). So, did you feel that last moderately jarring movement of the plane?

I am going to get back to my exciting thrilling sci fi movie with sounds that are chilling and scenes that larger than life.
