Casual Friday Vlog, My Office/Scrapbook Haven

  • Google Buzz

The post below this includes a video and I’ve gotten quite a few questions about my scrapbook room. I think I’ve posted some video of it before, but this is a more formal tour of my scrapbook space.

I really wish I could say that I use the scrapbook part of my office every day, but the reality of it is that I do a lot more digital scrapbooking being the geek that I am. I don’t have the heart to get rid of a lot of this stuff and now my daughters are starting to use it. It’s also great for that late night before a project is due and your kid tells you at 8pm that they need construction paper in fuchsia because that is what the teacher said.

Where do you scrapbook?

Let's Celebrate National Digital Scrapbooking Day Today! Add Your Link!

  • Google Buzz

In case you were not aware, today is National Digital Scrapbooking Day. What does that mean for most of us? Well, it definitely isn’t a day off of work or school, but rather a day to remember that we haven’t scrapped a page in months and that it’s time to just DO IT!! To celebrate I’m scrapping a page today (or maybe even 2).

I’m going to check out all the sales and freebies out there and share what I find. I’ll be Tweeting with #DSD (hashtag), so be sure to follow me, @ScrappinMichele and tweet me your deals, freebies and blog posts about Digital Scrapbooking.

I have been a member of the Scrapblog site for a long time, but I had never used it (not sure why…just didn’t get around to it). Scrapblog added the QuickMix to the site and so I decided to give it a try. It took me about 10 minutes to create this little digital scrapbooking slideshow with pictures, videos and text. It was really easy and there were quite a few different choices in styles and stickers to add to my mix.

The QuickMix added my pictures automatically, but I didn’t like the order so it was easy for me to just grab and drop the correct pictures in the order I wanted them. I easily added an additional page and pulled the video in from youtube (just copy/paste the youtube link).

Right now if you create your QuickMix, you will receive 150 credits which can be used to purchase premium items to add to your scrapblog. Once you create the QuickMix, you can share it on Twitter, Facebook, your blog or anywhere else you fancy. This was so easy, so there is no excuse for you NOT to make a scrapblog. Give it a try!

disclosure: I reviewed this because I tried it and loved it.
