It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like — Shutterfly Holiday Card Time

Shutterfly logoThanksgiving to New Years is my favorite time of the year. My Grandmother loved the holidays and she passed down that love to me. I get very sentimental about my family, the year and I love the prospect of a new year.

Holiday Cards Scrapbook

But one of my favorite things about the holidays is all the holiday cards. As a digital scrapbooker, I cherish the pictures I get from everyone each year and if a recap of the year is included…even better! I have a photo album that has all the pictures that I have received in the past 15 years (since I started scrapbooking). I put the pictures in chronological order so I can easily see how everyone has changed.

In the early years, I created a digital card, printed each one myself along with a picture (that I printed out myself). That took a LOT of time. Now that I have 4 kids and a small business, there is no time for me to do that anymore. That is where Shutterfly helps me tremendously! Because I’m a scrapbooker, I MUST include pictures. Shutterfly allows me to upload my pictures and really easily plop the pics into the Christmas card template. They print the cards and send them to me.

Top 3 Holiday Photo Cards

Shutterfly Holiday CardsThere is one problem with the Shutterfly holiday photo cards…picking out which one I want to use. There are so many to choose from. I like to include  4 – 6 pictures so that does narrow it down a bit. Here are my top 3 picks for this year:

Glisten and Glow – I can include a separate picture of each person on this card. Using black and white pictures with the black background would look very classy too.

Joy Love Story – I could include a lot of pictures on this one.

Vintage Snowflakes – This one is perfect for using 1 picture of each of my 4 kids.

Don’t think of sending holiday cards as a chore or a burden. You are capturing a moment in time and sharing with those you love. I know that I definitely appreciate every card I get.
