Momz Share had it’s first EVER networking event for DC metro area mom and women bloggers and I was there. Momz Share was started by Jennifer Gerlock from Hip As I Wanna Be and Lara DiPaola of Chicken Nuggets of Wisdom. They had this awesome idea to get women together from the DC area so we could network, socialize and share. It has taken on a life of it’s own.
Saturday was a pretty dreary day. The kind of day where you really just want to curl up in the covers and never get up out of bed. But nothing was stopping this geek from attending the first Momz Share event, not even the pouring rain and floods.
When I arrived, a glass of wine was waiting for me courtesy of Tarara Winery. That made the drive worth it. We all brought one food item to share (hence the Momz Share!) and I have never seen so much food. With 45+ women bringing food, there definitely was not a shortage of treats. I wined and dined on oatmeal cookies, mint chocolate fudge, chocolate chip cookies, chips and dip, cheese and crackers, veggies and dip and so much more.
Jennifer & Lara gave away so many prizes and I won this wonderful shirt from Soge Shirts, which you can see in the Momz Share Whrrl story.
I met so many fabulous DC area bloggers. I really didn’t know we had so many bloggers in this area. I always felt quite alone. But not anymore!! I can not wait to see what is in store for Momz Share with all the awesomeness that was in that room.
