Hi Michelle.
Go for it, I did a marathon last summer while I was training to do triathlons. I didn't really train for it I just upped the distance on my run sessions to about 12 miles which I know is way short. But I really wanted to do one and thought I would just go for it.
So glad I did the most enjoyable and painful run I have ever had and the elation when you get to the end and realise you have done it is sheer heaven.

Thanks for the encouragement. I'm currently signed up for 3 half marathons this year and I'm going to do one more. Then my 2014 goal will be a full. I have to spread them out. The only way I keep running is when I have something to run for. Otherwise I have too many excuses as to why I can't run. Congrats on your marathon & triathlons. Triathlons don't interest me. I hate biking.
