This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Carmex®. All opinions are 100% mine.
Every time I see Carmex at the store it takes me back to Junior High. I remember always having the small jar of Carmex lip balm in my pocket. I grew up in Wisconsin and chapped lips can be quite brutal in the winter so everyone used Carmex.
When I found out about Carmex® Healing Lotion and Carmex® Healing Cream, I was really anxious to try them because the lip balm worked so well. In the winter my hands are always so rough. It's so bad that they will sometimes crack and bleed, so I am always on the lookout for good lotions.
I have been using the Carmex lotion and cream on my hands for the last week. It feels thick when it goes on (which is good in my book), however it does not feel greasy. I keep the lotion at my desk because I use it often during the day. I don't want my mouse to get all greasy from my lotion. The Carmex lotion didn't leave me with greasy hands.
The packaging was very familiar to me because the yellow color is the same as the Carmex lip balm I used as a kid. I never realized how much I associated a color with a product, but it was clear in this case.
The scent of the lotion was familiar to me and I can't really decide if I like it or not. I'm not offended by the smell at all. The scent is similar to the Carmex lip balm, but with a slight powdery scent to it.
Overall, I am very pleased with the Carmex lotion and cream. I will purchase it again and I plan on buying a few more bottles for my husband and kids since we all suffer from the extreme dry hands in the winter.
