We are currently flying to Orlando to meet up with my husband who has been down there on business for the last 10 days. The house is clean, the house sitter is at the house and we made it to the airport, through the one hour security line and onto the plane.
We hit a bad storm at about 20,000 feet and I grabbed my 13 yr old son’s arm. The plane was rocking and it was lightening really bad. All I could think about was that plane that went down after being hit by lightening recently. My kids thought it was fun, but I was freaking out. The rest of the flight was uneventful.
My husband was at the Orlando airport at midnight to greet us along with the 90 degree soupy heat.
Now we are all tucked into our executive suite and ready to relax. Tomorrow will be our ease into vacation day. Breakfast buffet and pool all day.
