Costco

October is National Pork Month and Costco is celebrating with $2 off pork tenderloin this week. I had never tried pork tenderloin until my husband told me about his Mom’s recipe. Later this week I will share the full recipe with you. It is easy and delicious!!!

Pork Tenderloin Facts

As I started this campaign, I learned a few things about pork that I never knew:

  • Pork tenderloin is as lean as a skinless chicken breast.
  • Pork tenderloin is heart healthy and endorsed by the American Heart Association.
  • Pork tenderloin is a healthy meat option.
  • USDA reduced the temperature guidelines for pork loins, chops & roasts from 160 to 145 degrees with a 3-minutes rest.

pork tenderloinThis week, Costco has a deal in honor of National Port Month. You get $2.00 off a package of pork tenderloin. At the end of the week I will be sharing my Mother-in-Law’s pork tenderloin recipe. It really quick and I make it in the crock pot so you can set it and forget it until dinner time.I will also have a sweepstakes and one lucky reader will win a $25 Costco cash card, a digital instant-read thermometer and  USB flash drive full of helpful pork tips and information.

For more information:

Disclosure: I’m receiving compensation plus the sweepstakes package from Costco through TheMotherhood.com in exchange for my pork tenderloin post. All opinions are 100% my own.
