Mother & Daughter Just Dance To Get Fit; #JDDreamTeam Month 1 Update #Spon

Sami and I have been doing the Just Dance for a month now and we are ready to give you an update. Let’s start with our goals we set last month.

Michele

  • Workout with Just Dance at least 3x/week
  • Run 3x/week (2 short runs and 1 long run)
  • Track all my food each day
  • Drink 8 glasses of water/day
  • Lose 10 lbs – I lost 3 pounds and that felt awesome for me because I was stuck at that 159 for months. 

Sami

  • Workout with Just Dance at least 3x/week
  • Eat at least 3 servings of fruits and vegetables each day – Some days, better than before
  • Drink 8 glasses of water/day

As you can see, we did pretty good. You’ll hear in our video that we had a tough time with it because we are in summer mode and we discovered we needed to change the way we looked at exercise.

While I did track my food each day, I wasn’t very good about what I ate when we were away from home. It is so easy to grab junk when you are traveling, but this month, I plan on working on that. Sami did better with adding fruits and vegetables, but didn’t have 3 servings every day.

Here are our goals for Month 2:

Michele

  • Workout with Just Dance at least 3x/week

  • Maintain good eating habits while traveling
  • Lose 10 lbs

Sami

  • Workout with Just Dance at least 3x/week
  • Eat at least 3 servings of fruits and vegetables each day
  • Drink 8 glasses of water/day

Sami is keeping her goals the same for Month 2 and my main focus is going to be eating well while traveling. I know it can be done. I have a short trip tomorrow, so I’m starting off the month being able to test it out right away.

Now that we are in the groove of having fun each week, we really look forward to it. It’s time for the kids and I to just let loose and be silly. We always end up laughing and we definitely do not feel like we are “working out.”
