I live in the DC area so we get the Washington Post delivered to our house daily. I have to admit…I NEVER read it. My husband does read it in the morning while eating breakfast. I look at the sales at Target and Best Buy (and scan for other tech stuff on sale) on Sundays. When my husband is out of town (shhh..don’t tell Jason), the paper goes straight from the driveway to the recycle bin.
When I saw the new Washington Post iPad app (iTunes link), I was thrilled. It’s not that I don’t like to read news, I just don’t like to read the paper. It’s way too big and messy. I hate messing with folding the paper in all different origami shapes just to comfortably read it. I remember watching my Father-in-Law read the paper with such precision. He had it down to a system. I never figured out a good system, so I avoided it altogether.
Today I did a happy dance when I saw this video:
First I happy danced because I thought the video was hilarious and brilliant and then I happy danced because I can finally read the Washington Post again. I think the video does a great job of showing off the highlights of the app and it’s funny. So watch it while I go read the paper on my iPad!
Thank you, Washington Post! It’s about time!
