Back to school at our house means the kids will be needing to use the computer for school. We can’t have the computer slowing down or worse…infected with a virus. Like me, my kids will often wait until the last-minute to work on a project.
Imagine this…
Your child has an assignment due the next day and they need to look up several facts on the internet. Your child sits down at the computer and the first thing that pops up is a message telling them they are infected with a virus and they need to click on the link below to get rid of it immediately. They click on the link and then a lot of windows pop open and then a blue screen.
Fact or Fiction?
Fact! That happened to my son last year. Somehow his virus protection software was turned off and he didn’t realize it. He thought he was doing the right thing by clicking on that link. Fortunately for him, I was able to clear the trojan off his computer and have his computer back to normal by the next day. But while I was working on his computer, he had to start his assignment all over on another computer. He was stressed out all night about his computer.
It is very important that you have software like Chicalogic’s ChicaPC-Fix and ChicaPC-Shield. ChicaPC-Shield will protect your computer against viruses and other malicious software. PC-Shield will scan your computer for viruses and warn you if it finds one. You will be alerted before the virus infects your computer.
ChicaPC-Fix will find, fix and clean up computer errors that it finds. This will keep your computer running faster and smoother and extend the life of your computer.
