Love Those So Kodak Moments

I don’t need to tell you that being a parents is not all about Kodak Moments (or in case you haven’t heard, it is now called “So Kodak” – Love the new hip change!) But every once in a while we do get a few which make it all worthwhile.

I spend most of my weekends at soccer, dance, volleyball or driving kids around town. I also complain about it because it makes for a very hectic weekend which usually means that nothing gets done around the house. Hence the cluttered, rarely clean house we live in.

Today I sat in the 95 degree heat watching my son play soccer (and yes, I was complaining). After the game my son said, “Mom, I LOVE playing soccer and I’m never going to quit. Did you see how better I’m getting?” (he’s in 2nd grade and the wording isn’t always proper English, but the sentiment is the same.)

I replied, “Yep! I noticed.”

He thought about it for a moment and then said, “I bet I’m getting better because of the practices you take me to! Thanks Mom!”

Definitely a “So Kodak” moment.

Sort of Disclosure: . I’ve been thinking a lot about Kodak moments ever since I saw the post about Kodak updating it to the “So Kodak” moment. I started thinking about all the moments that pass by and are soon forgotten. I want to remember those moments. I think we need a So Kodak Sunday meme. Tell me about the So Kodak moments from the last week. Then when we want to pull our hair out because our kids have destroyed the house again and we are sitting at a soccer game in the 95 degree heat, we can read those So Kodak Sunday posts.

If you write a So Kodak Sunday post, put a link in the comments below.
