Following Holiday Recipes On Your Kitchen Computer #IntelAIO #Spon
During the holidays, we want to be sure our holiday recipes will taste good. If you are like me, you want simple and easy-to-follow recipes. I moved our HP ENVY Rove (Intel All-In-One desktop computer) into our kitchen because it’s the perfect size (small) for the counter and will make cooking easier. #spon: I am in a partnership with Intel. Most Thanksgiving we travel to visit both sides of the family in 3 days, so I do not do any cooking. Packing and traveling with 4 kids is more than enough work for me. My heavy holiday cooking time begins in early December with holiday cookies. I search the internet for new holiday cookie recipes and I have a few traditional recipes that we use every year.
Searching for Holiday Recipes
Searching for holiday cookie recipes on the HP Rove is easy. I always start with the Windows 8.1 search and enter “holiday cookie recipes” (be sure you are searching Everywhere.) Bing will give me all the recipes it can find on either my computer or the internet and will include videos and images too.
Next, I search for “holiday cookies” on some of my favorite Windows 8.1 free recipe apps.
- allrecipes and allrecipes Video Cookbook (found the most holiday cookie recipes here)
- Epicurious
- Everyday Food
- allthecooks
- Bing Food & Drink
- iFood.tv Recipe Videos
- Cocktail Flow (might need a few new holiday drink recipes too)
With all the resources available online and in the apps, my problem isn’t finding the holiday recipes, my problem is narrowing it down to the recipes I can make. I wish I had time to make more holiday cookies.
Baking With Holiday Cookie Recipes
One of my family’s favorite holiday cookies is the Peanut Butter Blossoms. This has become a tradition in our family. I made them when I was a kid and now my kids help me make them. I found several great Peanut Butter Blossom recipes in the allrecipes app.
It is so easy to follow along when I have the all-in-one in my kitchen right where I’m cooking.
I will bring up Netflix so we can watch some holiday shows while we are baking.
We are still in the planning stages of our holiday cookies for this year, so I can’t show you any completed cookies. But I find that researching and planning is half the fun.
What holiday recipes (cookie or otherwise) do you make every year? What traditions do you have for holiday cooking?
