I just found out that Patrick Swayze passed away today of pancreatic cancer. This death hits home for me much more than Michael Jackson’s death. Patrick Swayze was 2nd in line for me to marry (behind Rick Springfield).
The first time I saw him was in the TV movie, North & South. I love movies from the whole Gone With The Wind era and he was so good looking. In college, there was the Dirty Dancing movie which I saw several times and played the CD until it was scratched and worn. We did a lot of late night dancing to those songs. Shortly after that, I fell in love again with him in the Ghost movie. Who could forget that scene at the pottery wheel. Makes me want to go out and buy one.
He was 57 which is so young. I think I will watch Ghost & Dirty Dancing tomorrow in his honor.
