Horses 3DSwill let you live out your dream of owning a horse. I remember wanting a horse when I was a little girl. I even took horse-back riding lessons, but it was winter in Wisconsin, so the lessons were inside. That was when we discovered I was allergic to hay. Had to nix the lessons.

The summer after I graduated from college, I went on a family vacation and we all rode horses. My horse was spooked by something, bucked up and threw me off. I landed on my tailbone and right hand. Broke my tailbone and my wrist. So, horses and I haven’t had a great relationship.

Playing Horses 3DS

When I got the Ubisoft Horses 3DS game, I started playing the game thinking that I would play it for a bit and then work. Well 3 hours later, I was still playing Horses. The game is soooo much fun.

You are the Stable Manager so you need to be sure the horses have everything they need and train them to race in 4 different types of horse races. Honestly, I am not very good at the racing part.

I love going after the hoof marks down the paths and collecting stars. Sometimes you ride alone and sometimes a friend will go along. The rides will usually have a mission like, collect all the stars and ride faster than your friend.

Horses 3DS & My Girls

My 13-year-old was a bit hesitant to play it because she thought it would be a game for little girls. I asked her to please play it so I could get her opinion of the game for my review. She loved it. She makes sure no one plays her game because she loves it so much.

My 8-year-old heard us discussing Horses and of course she wanted to play too. She is currently hiding somewhere with the 3DS because she doesn’t want anyone to take it from her.

So, the game is fun for an 8-year-old, 13-year-old and even a 44-year-old girl. My boys didn’t want to play it, so it is definitely for girls.

Why Tag Photos With Links?

Here are a few examples of why you would want to tag photos with links:

Group Photo – You take a group photo at a blogging conference and you want to tag the person with their blog.

Family Reunion – You take the big group photo of all 200 of your relatives and you would like to tag each person with their Facebook Page.

Review Photos – You review a lot of products and take a lot of photos of those products. You would like to tag the photos with the link to Amazon or maybe to a video review of the product.

ThingLink Example

Here is a photo that I tagged with a Facebook Page and YouTube Page link. I tagged this one in ThingLink and embedded it in my post which is one way of creating ThingLink tagged photos.

A second way to tag your photos with links is to install ThingLink on your blog which will enable you to tag all your photos right on your blog. Just be sure you log into your ThingLink account when you are tagging your photos.

ThingLink offers both free and premium accounts.

This is why I love to go to Virginia Beach.

Virginia Beach Vacation As a Child

When I was 11 years old, my grandparents took me on my first Virginia Beach vacation to visit my aunt. She lived right on the beach and that was when I fell madly in love with Virginia Beach and the ocean. I remember just spending time on the beach staring at the water. I think we would have spent all day every day at the beach if they had let us, but we did see many of the sites of Virginia Beach too.

Virginia Beach Vacation As An Adult

Once I grew up and met Jason, we took several Virginia Beach vacations because both of our parents lived in the area. I loved going down to the boardwalk and sit at one of the outside seating areas at one of the many restaurants with a fruity drink in hand and soaking in the beach air. You need to stop and Love the Moment at the beach this way!

Jason and I getting married in Virginia Beach. It was so warm and it was Thanksgiving weekend.

We decided to get married in Virginia Beach because we loved it there so much. So Thanksgiving weekend in 1994, we tied the knot and had a mini Virginia Beach vacation right on the beach.

Virginia Beach Vacation With My Kids

Now that I have 4 kids, we take a Virginia Beach vacation several times each year and each time we try to go to at least one attraction. Here are some of our kid-friendly favorite Virginia Beach vacation attractions:

Dolphin Tours – This is a MUST! We do this every summer and each time it is like we’ve never seen them before. Take one of the dolphin tour boats (we love the twilight tours) and they will take you to see dolphins. Every time we have gone, we’ve seen many dolphins. The dolphins will often ride along the boat and you can get great pictures. There is a guide on the boat who will answer questions and share information about dolphins. My kids talk about the dolphins a LOT.

Virginia Aquarium – I love aquariums because I love the water so much. It is so interesting to see all the different species that live in the water and you can learn a lot about them. The Virginia Aquarium is very kid oriented and you could spend an entire day here.

My 7 yr old loved seeing all the animals so close.

Mount Trashmore Park – This is one of the best parks for kids we’ve ever been to. It’s built on a huge landfill and has so many play areas. I always have a blast. This is the perfect place to have a picnic and let the kids run around.

The Boardwalk – We like to go down and walk along the boardwalk and stop to eat at one of the awesome restaurants and let the kids play in the sand. Along the boardwalk in the sand are several playgrounds (yes, right in the sand.) It is always fun to stop at a few and rest and let the kids play.

Sandbridge Beach - Our favorite beach is Sandbridge Beach because it is a bit off the beaten path. We usually spend one day at Sandbridge Beach. It’s a great place to relax and enjoy the beach air and the sun. I love driving around and looking at all the beach houses in the Sandbridge area too.

Those are just a few of the places where my family loves to go when we are in Virginia Beach.

Running in Virginia Beach

I have to mention my running experience in Virginia Beach. Last year I ran my first half marathon and I chose the Rock ‘N Roll Half Marathon in Virginia Beach as my first half because it truly is a beautiful place and I wanted to finish my first half marathon by running down the boardwalk along the ocean. It was AWESOME! I am planning to do it again this year.

That view right there is the reason I ran my first half marathon in Virginia Beach.

And I did it! Celebrating on the beach.

I’m taking this opportunity to educate my 4 kids about online password safety and here are 9 tips I’m sharing with them.

Online Password Safety Tips

1. Do not use real words. If you create a password like, “videokid,” that is too easy to figure out especially if you love video games. This would be better, “1v5i3d8e8o5k1i7d.” I added a number between each letter.

2. Do not use your name. VideoMatt is a horrible password. You should never use your name in a password…EVER!

3. Do not use the name of the website or software. If you are creating a password for Facebook, using videoFacebook or even videoFB is not a good password.

4. Do not use your birthday. This is too easy to figure out. Your friends know this information and it is just too easy to figure out.

Giving out your password could make you a victim of cyberbullying.

5. Do not share your password with anyone. This includes your best friend. It may seem like an innocent thing to do, but it is never a good idea. Once someone has your password, there is a lot they can do with your account. The only person who should every know any of your passwords is your parents. When someone goes online with your password and pretends to be you, that is another form of cyberbullying.

6. Do not write down all your passwords and keep them in your wallet or purse. If someone were to steal your wallet or you lose it, they will have access to everything. When I write down passwords, I keep them in a place where no one will expect them to be.

7. Do not use the same password for every site. If you use the same password and one of your passwords is compromised, then they will have access to your information everywhere.

8. Use a combination of small and capital letters, numbers and characters. A great password would be, ak380KA36. If you are concerned about remembering your password, think of a saying or quote that you like. Create a password using the 3rd letter of every word and add a number in-between the letters. The password will mean something to you, but not to anyone else.

9. Be sure to change your passwords often. On social media sites and email, I change my password monthly. For sites I do not use as often, I change them every 6 months.

Knowing how to create a secure password is an important child identity theft tip. One that is often overlooked, but online password safety is a first line of defense against identity theft.
