Ultimate Family Vacation
My ultimate family vacation would be filled with geekness (is that a word?)! I would take my husband and 4 kids and the grandparents also. This would be an extended vacation for sure because we all need a LOOOOONG vacation.
We would start by flying to Hawaii where we would rent the biggest most awesome beach house. Right on the beach. Not near the beach. I want to wake up every morning and step out of my bedroom door and step right onto the beach. We would spend one week at the beach house getting into vacation mode and swimming, hanging out at the beach, exploring the island, snorkeling, out on a yacht (that came with the house) and we’d go to a few Luaus.
Geek Part of Vacation
I would spend much of that time glued to my iPad reading every ebook I can and listening to all my tunes. The beach house would have a HUGE 3D TV with Wii, PS3, Xbox 360 and a 3D blue-ray player. We would spend some time playing all our favorite games and I’d catch a few workouts too. Watching some movies on the 3D TV would be great for those rainy moments.
Non-Geek Part of Vacation
After week 1, we would get on a cruise ship and spend 2 weeks cruising to all the islands stopping for a few days on each island exploring and taking part in lots of adventurous activities. We would definitely swim with some dolphins, go kayaking, hiking and lots of relaxing and eating.
Kid Part of Vacation
We would spend the last week in Los Angeles. My kids have always wanted to see Hollywood and go to LegoLand. We would rent an awesome house in Malibu (on the beach of course) and then head to many of the different tourist adventures in the LA area.
After a month, I’m sure we would be ready to go home, but it would have been the Ultimate Geek Family Vacation.
