Ten years ago today (and it was a Friday also), my water broke at about 2am. Woke me out of a deep sleep. It was Easter weekend and my sister was living with us, but she was at a friend’s house I had to call her home to watch Nathan who was 2.5 yrs old. I wanted a C-section, but my doctor was in Vail, CO skiing and the other doctor from the office was delivering 5 babies that day which included a set of twins. They had me wait and wait and wait til she could get my c-section in. By the time she got to me, it was too late. That baby was coming. I did manage to get an epidural fortunately because I’m definitely not into the whole natural labor stuff. Nothing natural about pain. They won’t even take my teeth out without meds. But to the point now…
