Don’t Sweat The Small Stuff for Moms Review #DontSweatMoms

By on June 11, 2012

This year I have tried to figure out how to bring some balance into my life. The book, Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff for Moms: Simple Ways to Stress Less and Enjoy Your Family More is the perfect companion to my Project Balance year.

Best Part? There is a companion app for the iPhone, Don’t Sweat Meditation. The affirmations reinforce the chapters and there are over 100 to choose from. I love a book with a tech angle.

Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff for Moms

The book has 100 inspiring chapters. Each chapter is an example of how Moms should learn to not sweat the small stuff and enjoy the moment. My favorite chapter is the first chapter, There is no such thing as a “perfect” mom. That title says it all. We all feel the need to be perfect and none of us are. You can read the first chapter for free at the website when you sign up for the mailing list.

I have the book on my nightstand and I randomly choose a chapter to read at night. The book is set up so that you can read it in any order you want. You don’t need a lot of time, just a few minutes to read a chapter. Another great place to keep the book is in the car. Pick it up when you are in the carpool line.

If you are a mom, know a mom and will be a mom some day, this book is for you.

Author, Kristine Carlson

Kristine Carlson is the wife of the late, Dr. Richard Carlson who started the Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff series. She has chosen to continue the series and this is her fourth. Kristine is also the mother of 2 daughters and now a grandmother so her book, Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff for Moms was written from her personal experiences as a mom.

The book seems great for my mother! She stresses herself out for every little thing she can find! Honestly it is like she seeks stress!

I am no longer sweating about my little daughter painting the walls with the ball-point pen.

I no longer sweat the issue of what clothing to wear with the smaller kids. I give them choices: you can have this or this and they pick from that. If they are really being stubborn and want to wear their PJs all day, then I let them. It doesn't really matter what they wear as long as they are clean.

I stopped sweating about making the beds. If mine is made then I am happy. I don't worry about who made their beds anymore. :)

That look intriquing and heaven knows I need to not sweat the small stuff...

Thanks for the chance!
