Back to School With a momAgenda Planner Pads

Back to School is always a crazy time in my house. I feel like it is a second New Year’s and an opportunity to renew all those resolutions intentions that I abandoned in February July. It is much easier to keep a schedule on a school day than on a summer day. We are all ready for some structure in the house again.

Chore List Pad

My new plan for this Fall is to get my family organized. We started a zone system during the summer and I wanted to put that system into place permanently. I will be using the momAgenda Chore List Pad to keep track of the zones and who has done their chores.

All of my kids are at an age where they can read, so this chore chart is perfect for us. Each week on Sunday, we will fill this out and I will be sure everyone is aware of what their chores are for the week. They can put a checkmark when they complete the tasks. When it is time for allowance, it’ll be easy to see who get paid.

Weekly Family Planner

At the same time on Sunday, we will look at our schedule for the week and write it down on the Weekly Family Planner. With 4 kids, it can be hard to keep up with everyone’s schedule.

Keep up with our schedule each week using the Weekly Family Planner pad.

This way everyone knows what the plan is for the week and I can figure out how to get everywhere to their activity on time. My plan is to also set the dinner plan and I’ll go to the grocery store on Monday morning.

Both pads come with 50 sheets and have a magnet across the back so you can attach it to the fridge if you would like. Each pad retails for $16.99 at momAgenda.

  • Hello! And here is my tweet: https://twitter.com/HappyMomNCharge/status/242455017406226432

I just ordered my first momAgenda journal and I LOVE IT! I would surely love to add a family planner to my list.

Ok so I just sat down today and wrote out our new family schedule for the fall. We now have not one but two pre-schoolers in the household, and one that will be going to two different schools (just makes life interesting lol). One of the things I wrote out in the schedule which I didn’t really do last year was to make sure that I pack both of their backpacks with their snacks the night before. In addition, I’m also committed to laying their clothes out the night before as well.

The kids had a nice lazy, fun-filled summer with a Nanny that was very interactive that took some of the burden off of me. *Thanks!*
So, I’ve searched and hunted for a lifestyle calendar/planner that will fit MY needs – no luck. So, I used the printables from MomAgenda and COZI calendar to create a FAMILY PLANNER that I will be Ground Zero for the family. We will update on Sundays for the week’s plans from school events, sports, and out-of-town visits. A chore chart is also on the Sunday agenda for my 6 & 9 year old sons who are very $-motivated right now. Throughout the week, my hubba and I will stay updated with TO DO lists, calendar updates via the COZI app for iPHONE/iPAD.
THIS is our plan. Had to make it Stone-family friendly so it would work. I’m very hopeful and excited to get/stay on track —and not forget a bday party or school event.
    Happy school year!

  • I’m seriously having a lot of trouble getting organized with back to school! Right now I have a calendar on the fridge that I jot things down on and I make sure to look at daily. In all honesty it’s very cluttered and I need something larger that would work with our family schedule better! Thanks!

We made a chore list of things that have to be done in the morning and evening. From getting dressed to brushing teeth.
For ever 10 pennies, they get a dollar. At the end of each month they have the choice to spend their money or save it for another month to see if they want to spend it.

I have 3 girls (12, 4, 1.5) so only one of them is in school, but that doesn’t make life any less hectic (esp. since the hubby and I run our own businesses and he has a traditional 9 to 5). I try to write down EVERYTHING! For me putting pen to paper solidifies things in my mind way better than typing or inputting information electronically. Also at the beginning of the school year, I write down the entire school calendar so I have it for quick reference. I also make sure to go over and write down a schedule for my oldest daughter so that she does not become overwhelmed. We try to make it cute and colorful and hang it in her room (and we make sure that there is plenty of wiggle room in it so that she has time to just be a kid and enjoy life)! Hope this helps (and I hope I win ^.^)!

  • Oh, the allowance! Of course 🙂 I was wondering how do you motivate them to make the chores. Michele, you’re a great mom and your techniques for educating kids are awesome.
