Hot Wheels Double Dare Snare In Real Life Review

When I was a kid, I remember playing with Hot Wheels and I grew up in a house with all girls. It was so much fun to race the cars and to collect them. I have boys and girls and Hot Wheels are a staple in our house. I love seeing my kids play with the same toys I played with 30 years ago. 

The new Hot Wheels Double Dare Snare™ track set is a hit with both my 8-year-old son and 7-year-old daughter. Not only does the Double Dare Snare give you a track set to race your Hot Wheels, but I love that it is fair for kids.” That may not sound like a big deal, but to my 7 & 8-year-old, it was everything.

What is a Double Dare Snare?

The Double Dare Snare is a race track for the 1:64 scale Hot Wheels with a loop and a jump and the winning vehicle is caught by a snare and saved from falling over the edge. The losing vehicle ends up somewhere over the edge falling off the track to the ground. The starting point is set by the track that slowly lowers. If you try to go before the start time, you will definitely lose because you can’t even make it to the loop.

My kids invited several friends for a small Hot Wheels party and they spent an hour racing each and seeing which cars were faster and seeing who hit couch the most. All of the kids were laughing and I didn’t hear “that’s not fair” even once. My kids go down and race each other a few times a day. I’ll let you in on a little secret…I like to play the Double Dare Snare too. It is not difficult to put together either. My 8-year-old son put it together himself.

Double Dare Snare In Real Life?

Yes, you read that correctly, Hot Wheels is bringing the Double Dare Snare track to the X Games in Los Angeles on June 30th. According to Hot Wheels:

The anticipated Double Loop Dare is a six-story tall, dual vertical loop that will pair 2 Team Hot Wheels drivers together, placing them into a never-before-seen upside down challenge.

You can also watch it live on ABC beginning at 2:20 EDT/11:20 PDT on Saturday, June 30th.

The Double Dare Snare is available at any retailer with Hot Wheels products and the Mattel Shop. If you buy any Hot Wheels toy from the MattelShop between June 25th and July 1st, you will receive a special gift.
